Vision

At Moulsham Infant School, we believe that RE is integral to children’s learning as enables the opportunity to explore and learn about different beliefs and practices of people in their communities and around the world. Promoting inclusivity, understanding, consideration and appreciation for themselves and others by extending their natural curiosity and imagination to think, question, discover and learn in the wider world. Children learn from different sources, to develop and express their insights in response, and to agree or disagree respectfully

Intent

The aim of RE within this school is line with the Essex SACRE Agreed Syllabus: to promote the spiritual and moral growth of our pupils, in terms of developing an awareness of themselves and a consideration for others.  It is also to promote an appreciation of the natural world and a sense of community.  Religious Education will support children in reflecting upon, developing and affirming their own beliefs, whilst ensuring and developing an attitude of tolerance and an awareness and understanding of the principles of other world religions.
